USAFA Chapel and Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame Wedding | Colorado Springs
Jun 06, 2012
A big day for our blog–it’s moved back to where it started (/blog) and you can now pin our photos onto pinterest! Huzzah! The search feature is also fixed, although that’s less exciting. I’m celebrating this awesome website-tastic day with Tara and Caleb’s wedding sneak peek.
They got married on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, and if you’re local to Colorado Springs you might remember the truly awful weather we had that day. It was WINDY. And I mean WINDY. Nic got a photo that truly captured the wind, and if I decide not to be vain I might show it to you at the end of this post. But then I’ll never be able to get famous, because I really don’t want that baby showing up in People magazine. Worst picture ever. Anyway, with wind people have a tendency to say “at least it’s not raining” but with pictures this isn’t true. Wind is the one weather we can’t beat. We can’t toss up umbrellas, we can’t throw on snowboots…it just IS. We kept the vast majority of wedding party portraits and all of the family portraits inside and braved the wind for the bride and groom portraits. Tara and Caleb did a wonderful job of rolling with the punches (and Nic and Caleb did a fantastic job of chasing down the veil whenever it took off)! From the pictures and the fun veil movement it looks like merely a pleasant breeze, but you’ll notice that by the end of the portraits Tara had a completely different hairstyle! Talk about a trooper! Once the reception started, the reward was clear: CHIPOTLE for dinner. Talk about yummy!
