We actually photographed two beautiful weddings last weekend. Vern and Clare tied the knot on Sunday!
I about died of photographer happiness when Clare arrived in rollers. How adorably bridal is that?!
They had a beautiful wedding in Clare’s high school English teacher’s backyard. The weather was beautiful, and the kids’ table was adorable!
Vern’s mom playing with the kids later in the day:
Clare and Vern’s day was proof that you don’t have to break the bank to have a beautiful and meaningful wedding. They had a few beautiful touches that carried the day–like the string quartet:
Clare and her sister made their bouquets and the centerpieces. Totally worth the late night before the wedding, I think!
Clare looked beautiful in her mother’s dress. The room and dress begged for a little vintage post-processing:
I love this moment that Nic caught. Vern’s mom pinning on his boutonnière:
How adorable is this moment between sisters during the ceremony?
The rings:
A hug between Clare and her aunt:
The first dance:
As always, the father-daughter dance was so moving!
I adore Nic for capturing this shot:
Clare and Vern, thanks again for allowing us to capture your wedding day. You are a beautiful couple inside and out, and we loved getting to see that shine (and seeing all of your family and friends talk about it) at the wedding! We hope you had a wonderful drive back to California!

Two behind the scenes shots (and if you look carefully at the ring picture, there’s a third)! Here’s Nic shooting the first dance:
Nic shot this one into a decorative ornament in the garden. It’s so fun!

I love the dancing shots, so sweet.
Rachael Sep 16, 2008 at 10:11My biggest regret from my wedding was the photographer. I let my mom go for the budget guy. All I have are cheesy snapshots. None of the tender or fun moments. As I check out your wedding shots, I'm moved and touched by the details you capture in such creative, beautiful ways. On this shoot, especially, I love the warmth of the violin shot, the sweet feet dancing shot and the rings. So cool! The garden ball was very artistic and fun, too. Oh! And that kids table! Brilliant! Love that grandma got to play, too. You guys make one heck of a photography team!
