Renae and Erik had the holy grail of weddings: both laid back AND organized! They were so easy to work with and the day flowed so smoothly that I kept feeling that I was missing something–surely it can’t be that easy! Their daughter Jade was just the cutest thing and we had so much fun watching her at the reception: a little Energizer Bunny of dance!

Black Forest Wedding Photographers | Danielle and Ryan

Danielle and Ryan were married last weekend at Danielle’s beautiful family home here in Black Forest. Danielle and Ryan and their fun wedding party were so great to work with and all of the details were stunning. Danielle is one of those grounded people who keeps who cool no matter what happens, and so of course everything worked out perfectly! Even the day’s rain cooperated with the schedule, with the large storm of the day rolling out before the first look and the evening rain taking place during dinner, when everyone was cozy under the tent. I was able to take some film shots, too, but those will take longer to come back from the lab. In the mean time, here is their sneak peek!

garden of the gods club wedding | colorado springs photographer

Cathryn and Kurt were married this weekend at the Garden of the Gods Club in Colorado Springs. Their wedding was so full of joy and love and family–it was one of those weddings where we walked away not just loving the couple, but their family, too! Cathryn also presented me with a first: she’s the first bride I’ve photographed who was actually working on WORK when I showed up! As her makeup went on she was alternately dictating email and checking on the breakfast her uncle was making for everyone. Since we had limited time for portraits at the Garden of the Gods Club, Kurt and Cathryn had their first look and initial bride and groom portraits at Garden of the Gods before we traveled to the club for the ceremony and reception.
