It's the 15th…

Here are some images from the wedding I assisted Laura at this weekend. It was a beautiful event–the grooms had put so much thought into the details. The flowers were stunning–they were all lit from little pucks below the vases, and the cake was very unique–one of the grooms designed it himself! My favorite part of the evening was the toasts. One of the grooms’ dad gave a toast that had even me crying…but also laughing pretty hard when he explained that up until last year, he was sure that the two grooms were just jogging partners!

Here are some of the fabulous details I was talking about in my last post:

The caterer was a friend of the bride, so this cake topper was seen on the cake briefly before the festivities began:

The food was incredible. The groom caught the salmon we ate for dinner, and the cheesecake was out of this world. Did I mention that I was in love with the location, too? It was a destination wedding (the bride and groom are from my native Pacific Northwest), and they rented the most amazing chateau for the week. Here’s a peek at the dining room…

In my job as Laura’s assistant, I don’t usually get a chance to take portraits at the weddings, but I got a chance to snap this one of the bride. Her mother-in-law made the dress, and together they beaded it.

I love this shot of their unofficial first dance. There wasn’t an official first dance, but at the end of the evening the bride’s favorite song played on the radio, so she grabbed her groom for a very brief dance!

We were up in the mountains last night for a Breckenridge wedding. The bride and groom were some of the sweetest most relaxed people I’ve ever met.

The bride had a bunch of amazing details in the wedding–I’m sure I’ll be showing more examples in the days to come! These were the flowers the junior bridesmaids carried down the aisle.
