Labor day weekend was an amazing weekend for weddings–not only did Monica and Dan tie the knot beautifully, so did Amber and Mark!  Their wedding at Amber’s parents’ property in Divide was 100% perfect.  Everything was just beautiful and totally belongs in Martha Stewart Weddings!

I almost don’t want to post this dress shot because now everyone’s going to want dress shots like this!  But here’s the deal–actual great places to hang a dress (and dresses that hang well without those ugly cardboard inserts) can be found in about 1 in 50 weddings.  In this case, we totally lucked out and there was a light we were able to hang the dress from right outside the barn window.  But it’s definitely a once in a blue moon shot!

A behind the scenes shot (and yeah, I did wear that shirt to most of the Sept weddings–my maternity wardrobe is slim pickin’s).  :P

If there is an award for patience, I’m giving it to Kari!  She waited an extra week for her pictures (which when you’re waiting for your wedding pics is like a year) and has been nothing but gracious as we have floundered around trying to get the computers up so we could get her pictures uploaded.

Kari and Michael were married at Ten Mile Station in Breckenridge last month.  They planned the wedding for two years, and you could see it in the beautiful details!  The button and flower centerpieces some of the most creative we’ve seen, and I absolutely love that they turned the whole weekend into festivities for their family and friends who all came from out of town.  The brunch/BBQ the day after the wedding was an awesome idea, and I was so happy to photograph everyone over three days.  By the final day everyone is completely relaxed around the camera!

Colorado weather is nothing if not unpredictable this time of year, and while the days before and after the wedding were gorgeous, the weather on the wedding day was bitterly cold and rainy, and so Kari got to be a first for us–our first outdoor ceremony in full on rain!

After the ceremony we caught a few shots in the drizzle before going inside.  When the showers didn’t give up we called uncle and turned to the bar area for some beautiful nighttime portraits of Kari and Michael.  They are so easy to photograph–they just do their thing with very little prompting!

Thanks so much Kari and Michael for your hospitality and understanding about the extra wait for your pictures!  We hope you love the photos!

A behind the scenes pic of my belly at 21 weeks–the baby is definitely getting to go to a lot of weddings in utero–we joke that she’s going to come out of the womb singing “all the single ladies, all the single ladies…”weddingphotographer.

It’s funny to see this month old photo–I have definitely gotten a lot bigger this month!

I am so so so excited to blog this wedding!  Monica and Dan had the most amazing wedding in Beaver Creek on Labor Day weekend.  I knew their wedding photos would be awesome after their engagement shoot last year in Vail in the snow!  And I wasn’t wrong.

The wedding,  coordinated by Victoria Hentrich was absolutely stunning, the centerpieces and flowers by Fleur de Liz were breathtaking, Laura from Glo Makeup wins the best-makeup-artist-ever award for putting Monica in the most amazing light for the getting ready photos, The Osprey hotel was easy to work with (and had a yummy alternative to the dreaded cold boxed sandwhich vendor dinner, which always wins us over!), and Monica and Dan themselves were the most gracious of hosts.  It was definitely one of those weddings that we would eagerly shoot over and over and over again if we could!

Monica was sitting in the absolute best light ever for getting ready pictures!  Between that and her incredible skin, I was in photographer heaven!

I love this shot of Dan!!

We did their portraits before the ceremony and Monica was so brave about the wind/rain (which luckily died down after a little while)!

We just about killed Monica’s poor wedding coordinator when we put them in on this hill of bushes!  We probably owe her a day at a spa over the stress of watching Monica go in there with her dress!

Monica and Dan, we absolutely loved photographing your wedding–thank you for trusting us so implicitly, for being such gracious hosts, and for being so easy to photograph!
