It’s been a long time since I’ve done a family portrait shoot at Garden of the Gods, and even longer since I met a puppy so eager to pose! It was a treat to spend a beautiful autumn evening at the park with this family!

Most of the time I photograph families of 4 or 5 but this week I got to photograph a family of six! It was so much fun. They brought a ton of energy to the shoot and taught me really important things that I’d somehow missed in my previous 5 years as a photographer, like ‘sometimes if you want someone to smile you just have to kick them.’

Our website troubles seem to be behind us, so it’s time for some catching up! Amy and I have been planning this shoot since the beginning of summer, but it took until the end of summer for the stars to align for it! They are such a sweet family and with just one ‘big kid’ in the family the shoot was a breeze!
