If I was going to make a business resolution for 2014, it should probably be “get caught up on all the blog posts I missed in 2013.” I had every intention of posting the amazing snowy portrait sessions I had in late November before Christmas…but other things always managed to come before updating the blog. Hopefully everyone is still in the mood for a little festive snowy portrait sessions! I will sing Christmas songs in my head as I get caught up. :D

Nic and I had the honor of photographing Bailey and Ian’s wedding four years ago in Denver and now I had the pleasure of meeting their daughter, Charlotte, for her one year portrait session! Bailey had the most incredible shoes at her wedding (we still remember their wedding as “the awesome tea length dress and blue shoes wedding”) so it shouldn’t have surprised me that both she and Charlotte had fabulously sparkly shoes for this shoot!

I am once again behind on blog posts, but at least that means I have lots to share! I’m diving right in with this session from last week.

Keko is a firefighter who worked on the Black Forest Fire and is therefore one of the many heroes that saved so many homes, including our own! I’ve been offering complimentary sessions (digital files included) this summer for local firefighters and their families in appreciation for what they do for our community. It’s something that will be an ongoing program for Real Photography, so if you know a firefighter in the area, please pass on the information. This is just a tiny expression of our enduring gratitude for all they did and continue to do.
