We’re just about hitting the halfway mark in our wedding season this week–hurray! Today’s sneak peek is from Lizzie’s latest portrait session. We got the worst weather ever–thunder, lightning, and a serious Noah’s Ark type downpour. Luckily with the Guthries, though, we were able to just go inside for pizza and beer and wait the storm out. :D The benefits of photographing dear friends! One of these days for one of Lizzie’s shoots we’ll catch some luck on the conditions!

Mary, Dave, and Medley might look familiar to you! It was so fun to meet Annie and Sophie, the two new members of the family! When I asked my group of photographer friends for advice on photographing 6 month old twins, I got this answer from a mother of twins: “bring duct tape. and valium.” These sweet girls left me with no need for either, though–they were full of smiles for me and made having twins look (what I’m sure is deceptively) easy!

Lizzie is six months old! In the last month we did two little mini shoots–one of her in her baptism gown and the other on her quilt that will provide the backdrop for a ‘watch me grow’ type series. It’s so fun to see her getting older and throwing some hilariously fun faces at the camera!
