Eeek! I realized this morning just how many backlogged sessions (and even a wedding) there are to blog and it’s a little overwhelming! We’ve been staying very busy with Christmas card family portrait sessions, and the blog got a little neglected! My plan is to get caught up in the next week or two, so hang tight for lots of posts!

Audrey brought her sweet family to the studio at the beginning of October for an engagement/family shoot.

I didn’t think we’d ever run into another Eloise when we picked Ellie’s name, but here we are just 7 months later and I’ve already met another adorable Eloise! (And this Eloise is more authentic–she has a pug! [I warned Heather and Leon that I might be sending a little turtle wearing sneakers along with their pictures to complete the picture.])

Eloise’s session came in two parts–the first afternoon here at the studio in Black Forest, was a bit of a bust. So we tried again at her house in downtown Colorado Springs the next day and saw a lot more smiles. Even though the first day wasn’t a huge success, we still had some keepers!

One of my favorite things to capture when posing a bigger family portrait are smaller sections of that group. Miss Eloise was definitely a daddy’s girl and we had no trouble capture cute pictures of her with Leon that day. He was the ONLY person she wanted!
