intro-post

Real Photography closed in December 2014 and is no longer accepting clients.

Thank you for your support over the years! Please follow me at my new personal blog: www.needlesandapen.com to keep up with my latest photography, craft, and nursing school adventures.

The “best of 2009” blog series continues with some more wedding photos!  Here are our favorite getting ready shots of the year.

Monica had the absolute best light for her makeup application.

Melissa’s moment in prayer is one of my favorite reflective getting ready moments.

Jenny had the best “you’d never guess where she got ready” photos.  The “bride’s room” was the church nursery, but the light coming in from the windows allowed me to get really some really dramatic images.

Amber had the coolest getting ready room–her parents’ barn all decked out with vintage furniture!

And my favorite “oh my goodness, I’m a bride!” moment belongs to Mindy!

My absolute favorite photo of 2009:

After our trip to Delaware to shoot Ernest and Kim’s wedding, I became a big fan.  Who knew Delaware was so awesome?!

Fell in love with him when I was barely 18, married him before I could legally drink…8 years and 1.9 babies later and he still has the power to make my day with that smile.

Our trip to Disneyland in April was the highlight of the year.  Will is still talking it, wanting to “go on a big jet” back to California.  When we walked out of the airport and he saw the palm trees his eyes got big and he said in total awe: “It’s like a jungle.”  And that was just the airport!

If the magic hour light at the beach doesn’t make you want to drop everything and move to the West Coast, nothing will!
