intro-post

Real Photography closed in December 2014 and is no longer accepting clients.

Peter and Sarah will be getting married in two days!  They got into town early Monday morning, and 7 hours later were at the studio for their engagement shoot.  I promised to get the pictures up quickly so they’d have a chance to see them before the wedding!  Here’s my favorite!

Get ready for some gushing!  Shelby and Chris’s engagement shoot is one of my all time favorites, so I was really excited for their wedding.  Not only are they fun and loving with awesome taste (check out the fantastic and unique teal and lime green wedding colors and those awesome gray suits), but their wedding venue is one of our favorites–Boettcher Mansion.  They had such an incredible wedding–I’ve been so anxious to finish the initial edit so that I can share the sneak peek with them! (And yes, three wedding dress photos in the sneak peek is probably overkill, but I couldn’t choose between them.  At a gorgeous venue like this, getting pretty dress shots is like shooting fish in a barrel!)

Destany came to the studio for her senior portraits.   When I first opened our business, I photographed a lot of high school seniors every year, but in the last couple of years I’ve toned it down to focus on weddings.  Destany made me remember what I love so much about senior shoots.  It is so fun to spend an hour concentrating on just one person and capturing a small part of who they are right now.  I’m so excited about the images and can’t wait to share them with Destany and her momma!

Yep.  She’s gorgeous.  I think that’s the best part of this job–getting to show people how incredibly beautiful they are.

I love the big trees at the studio.  Almost as much as I love the fields.

Destany brought along a couple of books to use as props (I loved that of course!!).  I was also a big fan of the fact that one of the books was Twilight!  :D
