Adrienne and Paul got a little surprise on their wedding day–snow! They handled it so well. They rolled with the forecast and made plans so that instead of detracting from the wedding, the snow made it even better! Adrienne had a fur shawl rush ordered, moved the ceremony indoors, and added a hot chocolate bar for their guests. We were so impressed with their flexibility and ability to make lemonade from lemons (or in this case, hot chocolate from a snow day)!
Check out Adrienne’s adorable red heels! (And how perfect was the color scheme for a snowy wedding?!!)
Flowers by the one and only Dawn from Hillside Consultants!
I know they had planned an outdoor ceremony, but the indoor ceremony was gorgeous–Willow Ridge Manor did an amazing job of transforming the space from ceremony site to reception site in record time! (And twinkle lights never hurt!!)
Adrienne and Paul, thanks so much for sharing your day with us and for being so laid back and easy to work with–we loved spending the day with you!

Behind the scenes stuff…me on the left, and our contribution to Adrienne and Paul’s guest book quilt on the right–I LOVE the idea of a guest book quilt! (Not to brag, but my stick figures are totally famous in my family. They’ve got a real Traci Original there. :P )

Dawn Ackerman Oct 31, 2009 at 02:29LOVE them all!!! As usual, you both hit it out of the ball park. And I did blush a tad at the "one and only Dawn with Hillside" hee hee.... I look forward to working with you both in 2010! Dawn

Adrienne Chagas Oct 29, 2009 at 10:15Traci - I don't even know where to begin. THANK YOU. That's a start. I have looked at our slideshow and almost all the way through the "favorites" and I am just a hot mess! You and Nic captured every wink, every furrowed brow, every giggle, every look between Paul and I...you captured things and moments and feelings I didn't even know happened! And - get this - you captured things that I meant to tell you were important, but forgot (yay for 100 degree fever on my wedding day): I had matching bracelets made for my mom & I - she has been through a lot this year and has just come through everything with the best attitude - and we wore them for the first time at my wedding. I meant to have you take a pic of her and I with our hands close together - so you could see the bracelets - but, like I said, I forgot to tell you. You got the shot anyway - during the rose ceremony. You can see me handing my mother the rose and our wrists are crossing, and there are the matching bracelets. You have no idea how much this means to me. I will explain more in a private email. Anyway...looking at these pictures makes me want to experience this all over again! Which is saying alot considering the surprise snow and me being sick...but it was magical...and you got the magic. We are forever indebted to you and Nic. BTW - Your stick figures ARE legendary! We got to see the quilt block you drew on before my mom left for California. Thank you so much for signing one...and for the artistic endeavor! :) A million thanks. We look forward to seeing the best moments of our lives captured through your camera lens in the future. Love, Adrienne Chagas
