If you’ve been hanging out in blogland this week, you probably already know about the Liebster Blog award. It’s a way of sharing information about smaller blogs (fewer than 300 followers)–a way for us little guys to give the nod to other little guys! 🙂
Brooke of Pitter Putter Stitch was sweet enough to send a nod my way, and it very much made my day. Brooke caught my eye on flickr, where I fell head over heels for her little elephant momma/baby embroidery for the Pillow Talk Swap and was hooked when I saw her Cathedral Windows pillows. Here are a few of the other amazing blogs in my google reader:
Jolene of Blue Elephant Stitches is one of my design and color heroes. Her quilts make me happy and I’m always excited to see a new post from her in my google reader.
Katie from So Happy made the most incredible advent calendar last year and you have to check out her cute little plush nativity!
Lucia of Lulubloom became an instant favorite when I saw her adorable set-up for photographing quilts and blocks–fence, twine, and clothespins! She has such awesome bold bright graphic quilts.
Julia of Little Girl Quilts has just over 300 followers in google reader, so technically she’s disqualified, but I figure being just over still counts. 🙂 Her photography is spot on and her projects are gorgeous.

Since it’s not a blog post without a crafty picture, here’s a combo that is demanding that I make something with it. I think I know just the thing, too. Maybe we’ll get a chance tomorrow!
Susie - I peeked at a few in your sidebar last week and just love, loved Jolene’s style. I have to agree with Brooke, though, you had me with those darling aprons and the free stitch- you are phenomenal! Thanks for the new links, too!!
Julia Wylie - LOVE this camper fabric. I have been eye balling it at a local shop of mine and cannot wait to get my hands on it and make something with it. The only question is what?!
Kristi - Where on earth did you find the trailer fabric? MDH and I are obsessed with miny trailers and dream of one day travelling across the country in one. In the meantime, I love to collect fabrics with camp themes. Have you seen the Monaluna Circa 60 Beach Mod?
